Auctions Inventory Specialist
West Auctions (www.westauction.com) is looking to add a new member to our team. Our business conducts commercial auctions all over Northern California of all types of assets,including cars, boats, construction equipment, and much more.
As a team member, your job will have two parts. The first is, you will go to different businesses and photograph and inventory the equipment they want to sell. All photographs and information will be entered through our company app. From the app, the information is uploaded to our website and sold at auction. The second part of your job begins after the equipment is sold, when the buyers come to pick up what they purchased. Your job will be to manage the process, and make sure each buyer is receiving what they bought. Note: You will NOT be required to assist with manually loading equipment, our buyers are responsible for doing this themselves. Your job will be to show them their items, and make sure they are being removed in a safe and organized manner.
Starting pay:
- Regular starting pay is $18 an hour with a raise to $20 at 6 months or before.
- You are paid for travel time to and from the jobsite.
- Your starting pay may be higher if you have valuable skills, experience, or qualifications.
- Overtime work is available to those who desire to work and earn more.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist with grouping assets into “lots” based on value.
- Photograph and gather information on equipment used in industries like Construction, Audio Visual and
- Staging, Restaurants, and more.
- Manage the safe removal of all purchased equipment.
- Travel to and from different locations.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to learn new skills such as operating a forklift, loading heavy equipment, flying a drone, creating professional videos, and more.
